Reactor15 Welcomes Dartington Hall

Reactor15 extends a warm welcome to Dartington Hall as they join our design agency’s client portfolio, running a Christmas advert campaign in local media and on Twitter.

Dartington Hall dates back to 1388, but rose to fame from 1925 when it was bought by an American Heiress, Dorothy Elmhirst, and her artisan husband.

The purchase set the scene for the great ‘Dartington Experiment’ which has now run for over 89 years. Since its modern day inception, the estate has played host to luminaries including Nobel Prize winners, writers, musicians, politicians and thinkers. Dartington Hall’s school alumni include the Freud brothers (Sigmund Freud and Clement Freud) and visitors have included Winston Churchill, Sir George Bernard Shaw, Imogen Holst and other luminaries and leading thinkers.

The charity, specialising in arts, social justice and sustainability has been a pioneer for forward thinking since its inception. The framework for the NHS was written at Dartington as was the Labour Post-war manifesto.

More recently, The Dartington Trust has been awarded the Social Enterprise Mark and the White Hart restaurant has won a bronze Taste of the West award for best dining pub.

“We’re very proud to be working with such a reputable, principled and established Devon brand and we hope we can deliver benefits to Dartington Hall as a social enterprise, because we know that every penny gets re-invested back into the community.” said Bear, Marketing Director of Reactor15. “Our media campaign approach for Christmas has also focused on using traditional and local media in the spirit of keeping things local.”

The ad campaign focuses on an invitation to enjoy a “Dartington Christmas” in the stunning buildings and grounds of the estate. The newspaper and magazine advertising campaign is also being supported by a Twitter Ad campaign.
